He's Driving Me Crazy!

Anyone who knows me, knows I am very afraid of birds!
I have a robin flying continuously into my french doors....over and over again. I have been searching for ways to stop this and have found some ideas I'm going to try! Of course I don't have shades or blinds on the window so that idea is out!
Decrease the reflectivity of your windows:

Pull down your shades: white curtains or blinds can make it difficult for birds to see their reflections.

Put the screens in operable windows to make them less reflective.

Consider soaping your windows for a couple of weeks during the nesting season.

Break up the reflection by hanging something, placing decorative window films, or using 1-inch-wide tape or ribbon to create vertical stripes every four inches on the outside of your windows.

Move houseplants away from the glass and close curtains over windows and sliding glass doors whenever possible.

The Towels Keep Growing!

I can't believe how many towels a family of three can go through!
I do three loads of towels before a week is over. No wonder they are looking worn out and tattered.
I dread doing laundry...Doesn't everyone!
I don't like using a towel two times in a row...Just doesn't seem right to me.
I guess I'm the reason for my own work!

A Day With Erica & Tyler!

Today Tyler turned 16 months old!
He's so much fun to be around...What a little ham!
He got Easter pictures taken with a live bunny...Yes, the bunny survived!
Lunch was at Chili's and Tyler got his first taste of corn on the cob. He loved it! So funny watching him try to hold it and take bites.
I'm so looking forward to another over nighter! The older he gets the more fun he is...And to think I was always partial to infants.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME
Author Unknown
When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see;
The sun will rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
Remembering how I'd lay my head
In your lap that special way.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.

But when tomorrow starts without me.
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name
And petted me with her hand.
She said my place was ready,
In Heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.

But, as I turned to heel away,
A tear fell from my eye,For all my life I never thought
That I would have to die.
I had so much to live for,
So many sits and downs to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.

I thought about our lives together,
I know you must be sad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.

Remember how I'd nudge your hand,
And poke you with my nose?
The frisbee I would gladly chase,
The bad guy, I'd "bark and hold".

If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for awhile,
I'd wag my tail and kiss you,
Just so I could see you smile.

But, then I fully realized,That this could never be;
For emptiness and memories
Will take the place of me.
And when I thought of treats and toys,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you and when I did,
My dog-heart filled with sorrow.

But then I walked through Heaven's gate,
And felt so much at home;
As God looked down and smiled at me,
From His beautiful golden throne.
He said, "This is eternity,
And now we welcome you,
Today your life on earth is past,
But here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last;
For you see, each days' the same day,
There's no longing for the past.
Now you have been so faithful,
So trusting, loyal and true;
Though there were times you did things,
You knew you shouldn't do.
But good dogs are forgiven,
And now at last you're free;
So won't you sit here by my side,
And wait right here with me?
"So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart.
For every time you think of me,
I'm right there, in your heart.

Good Bye Tumbles!
I'll Remember and Love You Forever!
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Taz Tornado

It looks more like a Taz Tornado blew through my house, then a 15 month old named Tyler!

We had 2 1/2 days of laughter, and entertainment. Having Tyler visit us is such a joy!

I didn't have any time to craft this weekend. I took full advantage of playing the whole time. Now I'm trying to play catch up with the laundry!
