Tyler's calling!

It's so fun to get a phone call from Tyler!

eee, aaa, blah, blah, blah!

We usually get at least one phone call a day! He doesn't usually talk a lot to me, but boy can grandpa get some sounds out of him!

Tyler got caught this morning calling grandpa when grandma wasn't supposed to be home! What! I didn't know they call when I'm not hear cause Tyler likes to talk to grandpa! Boy, mommy has to wiggle out of that one!

Tyler's spending the 4th of July weekend with us and I can't wait! He's on the move now so it's getting a little harder to keep him occupied, Oh, I see a toy run in my future! Don't tell grandpa!

Craft chosen for Christmas In July Craft Group:

I received this as a Christmas Gift from Kelley in 2007. I absolutely loved it! Kelley, getting my name in the Christmas Exchange at work is always awesome! She knows me so well! I think she should get my name every year!

I will be teaching the craft group this snowman on July 28th. I've been purchasing the supplies and I'm so -ooo excited. The theme is Christmas in July. I'll be posting some of my ideas for the group throughout the month...so keep checking back.

Grilled Pizza Recipe

I found this recipe on GLU - I've been wanting to try pizza on the grill - This last weekend of my vacation might be a great time to try it!

Pizza on the Grill

OK, we made this technique today, only we did my version.

Pizza Dough: Refrigerated brand - cut it into 2 pieces before rolling with a rolling pin. We used the full amount and it was too much to grill at one time.

Set one side of grill of medium heat instead of high - make sure you use Pam cooking spray on the grill so it doesn't stick. We used Olive Oil - Pam. Before you turn the pizza over spray the uncooked side with Pam. Turn the heat to low - be really fast putting on the sauce toppings and cheese. Close the lid - keep checking the bottom to make sure it's not burning!

Eat and Enjoy!

Pizza Dough

Combine:
1 cup warm water
1 tbls. Sugar
1 pkg. active dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp.)

Mix:

3 ¼ cups purpose flour
1 tbsp. salt
Add: 2 tbsp. olive oil

Combine water, sugar, and yeast. Proof until foamy, about 5 minutes. Mix flour and salt in bowl.Add oil to yeast mixture once it has proofed, then pour into flour mixture. Knead on low speed or by hand for about 10 minutes. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 2 hours. Punch dough down and divide into 4 balls. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Your grill should be set on high on one half and low on the other.

Roll out dough on a dry work surface, dusted with flour. Shape it into a 10-12 inch circle to rectangle. Do not worry if it is perfect. Wipe oil on grill, drape the dough on the hottest part of the grill using your fingertips to lift the edges. Use tongs to move the crust around if the grill has hot spots. The dough will puff and develop grill marks. Flip the pizza and move it to the cool side of the grill. Brush with olive oil and add toppings of your choice. Slide pizza back to the hot side of the grill, close and cook until cheese is melted.

WOW....It's been awhile.....

It's really been awhile since I published!

I'm now on a 2 week vacation from work and spent the first 3 days enjoying spending time with my daughter and grandson. Needless to say I'm his favorite.....Ok, I know it's my version of being his favorite....But, everytime he's sees me he gets the biggest smile on his face.

We spent yesterday doing a photo shoot for his 6 month old pics. Of course you couldn't have asked for a better baby! He even got to do 2 different settings cause he was cooperating so well! I quess I know where my next pay check will be going!

Can you believe something this cute would scare a baby to death.....2 weeks ago this toy, that Uncle Joel got Tyler scared him to death. We tried & tried to get him to play with it but he started shaking and that boo boo face would come out. This week he was totally different, talk about conquering your fears. He would sit and talk to it, try to kiss it and give it hugs. This is now one of his favorites.

Today, I took Tyler back to Canton to meet his mom...More grandma time, couldn't pass up buying the toy he found to be his favorite and some mesh shorts and t-shirts.....OK, Tony, I'm not gaying him up now! But, first we had to get a new pair of jeans...Amazing how an hour north is so much colder than it is here is southeast Ohio.

He'll be back July 4th to spend the weekend at the lake!

Ok, Have you all tried this! I'm addicted! This has got to be the best Sweet Tea here in Ohio! I still the orginal Sweet Tea from the South....but for us northerners this is amazing!

Craft Group has started....We had a lot of fun making ankle bracelets. This is a new group and we plan to meet 1 time a month. Next month, July - we'll be making crafts celebrating Christmas in July! I'm the hostess so I've got a lot of planning to do. I'll post pics of what we'll be crafting if anyone wants to join us.
